Our Health Guarantee

At The Puppy Patch, we are committed to raising healthy, well-adjusted Rat Terrier puppies through responsible breeding practices. Our breeding dogs are selected for health, temperament, sound structure, and genetic quality. Breeding dogs in our program undergo genetic testing to help reduce the risk of inherited diseases.

Before going home, each puppy receives age-appropriate vaccinations, multiple dewormings, a veterinary examination, and a health record documenting their care.

Genetic Health Guarantee

We provide a two-year genetic health guarantee against hereditary conditions that significantly impact a dog's quality of life.

If a covered genetic condition is diagnosed and confirmed by a licensed veterinarian, support may be available according to the terms of our purchase agreement. Depending on the nature of the condition, this may include financial assistance toward treatment, a replacement puppy from a future litter, or other remedies outlined in the contract.

Buyer Responsibilities

To maintain the health guarantee, buyers must:

Have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within seven (7) days of pickup to establish care and confirm the puppy's health at the time of placement.
Provide routine veterinary care, vaccinations, parasite prevention, and proper nutrition
Maintain a safe and appropriate living environment

The health guarantee does not cover injuries, accidents, infectious diseases contracted after placement, neglect, abuse, environmental factors, or conditions resulting from improper care.

Our commitment to our puppies extends far beyond the day they go home. We remain available to answer questions, provide guidance, and support our puppy families throughout the life of their dog.
